A Slab for Alberta

A call was put out to contribute 15.5" scrap fabric slabs to be made into quilts for people impacted by the flooding in Alberta.  The daughter of one of our own modern quilt guild members lost all of her belongings when her ground floor condo flooded right to the ceiling in the same vicinity as the Saddledome.

While this is not much, it's my small contribution. It feels good to sew again after having my machine put away since the beginning of March.

The idea for these quilts came from Cheryl Arkison of Dining Room Empire and she has provided instructions. Feel free to send a slab of your own.
