Blocks for Sonya's Traveling Quilt

I really enjoyed making the blocks for Sonya's traveling quilt. She asked for 8.5" (unfinished) scrappy log cabin blocks with fussy cut centres using the colour theme "Sangria with twist of orange". It was fun to dig through scraps and yardage to find an appropriate mix of fabrics. The traveling quilt kit came with a small bag of fabric pieces we could use if we wanted. I did use some and replaced them with some from my own stash as others have obviously done, too.

I'm glad I didn't have to come up with more than 4 fussy cut centres. I didn't realize how thin my stash is in those types of fabrics.

I think her quilt is going to be gorgeous!

As part of her traveling quilt, Sonya included a quilted and hand embellished little diary that we're all to write in. That part is next. People have added such cool things already! Fun project!
